The Lounge (and kitchen)
This is a great space for meeting other tenants, entertaining friends and family, or just for a change of scenery! It is the home of many events (see our 'Home' page and 'Recent News') ranging from coffee each weekday morning to quizzes, cream teas and Christmas lunches. There is a TV and some tenants enjoy sharing a DVD or watching Wimbledon or the Proms, or even 'Strictly' in company.
Located in the lounge there is an eclectic and ever-changing selection of books which are freely available to all tenants.We are hoping to add a DVD section soon.
To complement the library there is a range of jigsaws (there is always one on the go and anybody is welcome to fit a few pieces), as well as a selection of board games.
The Guest Room
This has twin beds, a shower, WC and washhand basin.
Tenants can book this at £15 per night to accommodate visiting friends and relatives. The system is simple - sign up on the calendar in the lobby, collect the keys ready for your guests' arrival, and pay in the office when you return the keys.
This is some outdoor space where you can sit out to enjoy a cup of coffee, glass of wine, a read or a game of cards. There are a range of pots and tenants are welcome to get involved in planting and maintaining them. The patio is accessed from the lounge, and the space is shared with St Luke's Hospital.
The Laundry Room
Not glamorous, but necessary, especially as there really isn't room for washing machines in our flats. We have 3 washing machines and 3 tumble driers in our laundry room. These are free to all tenants at the point of use. The laundry room is open from 7 am to 7 pm each day. There are also baskets available, as well as a large sink and a spin drier.
The Buggy Room
We have a room with charging sockets for several mobility scooters. We do have a policy around mobility scooters, and require them to be properly insured and maintained. There are more details in the 'Useful Information' section of this website.
There is limited parking available on site. We have an automatic barrier for access, so a pass or token is required to leave. Resident and Visitor permits are also available for on-street parking, and we can help you to apply.
Our neighbours at St Luke's Hospital
We have very good relationships with the hospital and our tenants are able to use their garden, which is a beautiful tranquil space, expertly tended by volunteers. We are also able to use their cafe, which serves a range of home cooked lunch dishes, and a range of snacks such as soups, sandwiches and cakes. Many of our tenants take advantage of this extremely convenient and friendly facility.
